WHAT ARE MAGIC MUSHROOMS AND WHY ARE THEY CONSIDERED SACRAMENTS BY OUR CHURCH?

Zide Door is a Church in Oakland that supports the religious use of Entheogenic Sacraments. We follow a nondenominational interfaith religion, The Church of Ambrosia. All Entheogens are sacred to our faith and our church, however our focus is on Sacramental use of cannabis and mushrooms.

MUSHROOMS, RELIGIOUS EVOLUTION & SAFETY

The transformative potential that sacred mushrooms hold is profound. It is important to approach ceremonial psychedelic experiences with cautious consideration and a mindset of gratitude and openness to God.

MUSHROOMS

Magic Mushrooms are a variety of fungi that contain psilocybin. Psilocybin is a naturally occurring psychedelic that has the unique and powerful ability.

RELIGIOUS EVOLUTION

The Doctrine of Religious Evolution proposes that Magic Mushrooms catalyzed both the evolution of human communication and the emergence of religion itself.

CEREMONY & SAFETY

Psilocybin ceremonies involve the intentional use of psilocybin Sacraments after preparation and meditation on an intent for the experience.

HEARTFELT TESTIMONIALS FROM OUR MEMBERS

The Church of Ambrosia would love to hear from you! Share your thoughts, experiences, and how magic mushrooms have helped heal you and guide you toward discovering your true self. Thank you for sharing your experience with us!

As a fellow church member, I have found tremendous benefit from using these sacred plant medicines for healing past trauma. They have granted me invaluable guidance on how to accept my injury and how to move forward with my life.

Dear Zide Door Ambrosia and Mushroom Church: For most of my life I’ve had depressive episodes — as a child, as a young adult, as a middle-aged adult. I’ve taken anti-depressants, gone to therapy, changed my diet, taken various herbal supplements (St John’s Wort, I’m looking at you!), started a meditation practice and lived in a Zen monastery for a year.

I have to credit psilocybin with ending my toxic relationship with alcohol. I first worked with psilocybin over 20 years ago for ritual purposes, to contact my ancestors around Samhain (the Celtic festival) and for magical uses.
