OAKLAND, Calif. March 29, 2024 – Pastor Dave Hodges, founder of the Church of Ambrosia, has announced a significant change in the speaker lineup for the annual Easter psychedelic conference: Spirituality & Beyond #4, set for March 30th and 31st.
Oakland organizer and rapper-songwriter Mistah F.A.B., known for his community outreach and his support for mental health and alternative health needs, will speak Saturday in place of Robin Carhart-Harris, director of the Psychedelic Division at UCSF. Carhart-Harris withdrew from the conference due to illness.
Mistah F.A.B., born Stanley Cox, founded the nonprofit, Liberty and Legacy Era, to teach, help, unite and guide community members toward achieving excellence. This will be his first appearance at a psychedelic conference.
This conference will be held in the historic Henry J. Kaiser Convention Center in Oakland, 10 10th St., Oakland, and showcase prestigious speakers on the history, culture and knowledge of psychedelics, live music and a Magic and Mushroom Art Fair, all hosted by the non-denominational, interfaith church.
The Church of Ambrosia, with its companion Zide Door Church of Entheogenic Plants in Oakland and San Francisco, has become the nation’s largest non-denominational psychedelic place of worship with 105,000 members. Earlier this month, Forbes Magazine dubbed Hodges the “Prophet of Shroom.”
